The Annual Koreatown Northgate Culture Fest

This year's CultureFest will celebrate the diverse and vibrant KoreaTown-Northgate Community Benefit District (KTO) neighborhood. This is a community that is overflowing with talented artists, musicians, great food and diverse cultures! Experience the many sights and sounds of a thriving, growing area located in between the revitalized and exciting Uptown and Temescal districts!

The event will reflect the unique character of the community's cultural and ethnic heritage and attract the multicultural population in the area.

How it works:

1) Walk over to 2515 Telegraph Ave to view the art.
2) Choose your favorite art piece and rank then 1-4 (1 being your favorite)!
3) Fill in the storefront code posted in the window.

2011 KoNo Holiday Party
Taking place at the Atrium of the Sears Lofts on 27th and Telegraph on Wednesday, Dec. 14th, from 6pm to 8pm
Who: Koreatown Northgate CBD President, Phil Porter; City official; The Koreatown Northgate Board of Directors, and many of Koreatown Northgate merchants and residents.
 
What: Ground-Breaking Ceremony for Telegraph Ave Tree Planting (48 Trees)
 
When: 11:00 am on Friday, November 18, 2011
 
Where: 3401Telegraph Ave. Oakland, CA; Reception to follow at Taste of Denmark.
 
Why: Capture the ground breaking ceremony and discover the vibrant energy and future projects planned by the CBD in revitalizing this upcoming commercial district.

The KoNo Holiday Party was a huge success with over 50 attendees including property owners, business owners, neighborhood residents and city officials, including Mayor Quan.

KONO May 4th Celebration; another successful event!

KONO celebrated Oakland's 160th Birthday with Mayor Jean Quan, Council member Jane Brunner and the community on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 4-6pm at Shadravan Studios (2435 Telegraph Ave).
KONO has a new logo, 83 new street trees, 50 new street banners, and 13 new original artworks on the utility boxes.
