Joseph Jung, President
Joseph Jung has been an attorney in Oakland since 1997. He has served as Vice President of the Korean-American Chamber of Commerce of San Francisco, Vice President of Korean American Community Center of San Francisco, Chairman of Board of East Bay Korean-American Senior Services Center and President of San Francisco Korean-American Lions Club. He enjoys golf and basketball. Joseph has been married since 1997 and has one daughter and one son, and lives in Oakland. www.jungandassociates.com

Curt Haven, Vice President
Curt Haven is a California native. After a very successful career in the private sector, he took a position as the CEO of the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce where he helped the city incorporate and grow its job base substantially. After sixteen years as a Director for the City he retired formed Haven Consulting . During his career he has sat on many for profit and non -profit boards, including the Board of the Cordova Community Council (creating community events) and the Sacramento County Cordova Community Planning Advisory Council (where he reviews projects and proposals)
He now spends most of his time working for select clients, and helping his parents, children and grandchildren. He sees himself as a team player who is not afraid to work getting involved helping to solve problems and giving positive constructive support when needed. He very much looks forward to working with the KONO Board and staff to further the goals and vision of the organization. (term ends 2026)
Alan Wilk, Treasurer
Alan Wilk was born in San Jose and grew up in Fremont. He went to school at UCSC studying economics before transferring to UC Berkeley to study Bioengineering, completing undergraduate degrees in both disciplines. Alan began working as a research associate in a sleep neurobiology lab running experiments and processing data. He altered fields slightly to do statistics for medical diagnostic devices where he currently works at a diagnostic device company in Redwood City. Alan has been a permanent member of the KONO community since 2015. (term ends 2026)
Nick Myeroff, Secretary
Nick’s background is in computer graphics. He had a long and successful career as a video game designer working for top companies such as Electronic Arts. Throughout his working life, he has been investing in real estate and currently owns and manages over 40 units in Sacramento, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area. (term ends 2026)
Mike Thaler, Director
Mike Thaler has lived and worked in the Bay Area since 1970 and has resided in the KONO district since 2009. His interests include traveling the world, national politics, and urging neighborhood upgrades like the protected bike lanes on Telegraph. He is also active in real estate and holds a broker's license. Mike attended KONO public board meetings for several years before becoming a member in March of 2015. He presently serves as Treasurer of his HOA at 2407 Telegraph Ave. (term ends 2026)
Mindy Landmark,
Mindy Landmark works for Sutter Health and is Manager of Community Health for the East Bay Hospitals, including Alta Bates Summit Medical Center. In her role, Mindy enjoys promoting and facilitating community partnership development and collaborative planning to improve community health. She is passionate about empowering and supporting children, youth, adults, and families through neighborhood-based initiatives that build community and foster interpersonal safety. She has been a Board Member since 2017. (On Leave )
Keun Bae Yoo
Keun Bae Yoo is a property and business owner with interests in KONO businesses including Gogi Time and Blind Tiger, and he helped save Taste of Denmark (formerly Neldam's Bakery) when it faced closure. He's been a KONO Board Member since the beginning of the KONO Community Benefit District in 2007. (term ends 2026)

Shakira Scott
Affectionately known as “Your Local Yoga Dealer”, Shakira is a private and group yoga instructor specializing in Vinyasa and Yin Yoga and guided meditation. Shakira is also the founder of the Black to Yoga event series. Black to Yoga actively works to showcase Black yoga instructors while also introducing yoga to communities of color. Shakira has partnered with global brands such as Fam 1st Family Foundation, Walmart, Athleta, WeWork, Gap Inc, Core Water, Pathwater, WTRMLN WTR, New Balance and Willow Pump. (term ends 2024)
Toni Blackstone
Toni is a native Californian and has lived in Oakland for over 28 years. She has retired from a long and successful career as Senior Vice President, Sales for Bowne/RR Donnelley which provides innovative SEC regulatory services for public and private companies. Toni now enjoys painting, traveling and music. Always motivated to engage and give back to her community, she has served as a Board Member for Sionfonds for Haiti, providing education, nutrition, health care and community improvements to rural areas of Haiti; The Ventura Cultural Council, established to encourage participation in the arts; and Catticus that prudently manages the stewardship of endowment, foundation and private donor funds to film and radio artists. Toni also sat on the Advisory Boards for National Investment Company Service Association (NICSA)West Coast for 8 years, and 2 years on the National Council for Aging Los Angeles. (term ends 2025)
Gidget Pugh Bio
Gidget Pugh is a Sales and Marketing professional with over 20 years of experience working in and around Silcon Valley. She has worked for companies like IBM and Oracle, consistently ranking in the top 5% of sales teams. Pugh's passion for her hometown of Oakland led her to return to her roots and give back to the community. She is the Sales Manager at Moxy Oakland Downtown, where she is committed to investing in the local community's long-term prosperity. Pugh is also the CEO and founder of Socially Focused, LLC, a digital marketing and personal branding agency that helps local businesses grow and succeed online. Pugh is a highly respected professional who has made a significant impact in the sales and marketing industry. (term ends 2025)
Hye Kyung Allen
Hye Kyung Allen has owned property in the Kono district for over 25 yrs. 2757 Telegraph and 4390 & 4307. She is very supportive of the core mission of Kono; Safety, cleanliness and marketing. She wants to use her support to raise the standards of the district, improving economic development and business retention. (term ends 2025)
